On January 15, Van Werven proudly received a significant cheque, a subsidy of over €1 million. This funding will be used to collaborate with five other companies (Bollegraaf Recycling Solutions, Spectral Industries, Wageningen Food and Biobased Research, DYKA, TI-COAST) to explore how machines and robots can help sort plastic waste more efficiently.
This innovation is urgently needed. Today, less than 20% of plastic products in Europe are recycled. Our ambition? 100% recycling. That means a growing need for smart sorting solutions in Biddinghuizen and at six other locations across Europe. Together with our partners, we are working on real, scalable solutions for plastic recycling.
During the meeting in Utrecht (NL), Jan Kolijn shared insights into the impactful work we do at Van Werven.
